Recently, the Foreign Student Affairs Professional Committee of the Sichuan Higher Education Association announced the list of "2025 Sichuan Provincial Advanced Individuals in International Student Education and Management." Two faculty members from Leshan Vocational and Technical College, Yang Yilan and Liao Qingcai, were selected for this honor in recognition of their outstanding performance on the front lines of international student education and management.
This selection aims to commend outstanding individuals who have made active contributions to the education and management of international students in the province. Following rigorous review and recommendations from various institutions, a total of 56 individuals across the province received this honor. Yang Yilan and Liao Qingcai from Leshan Vocational and Technical College were among them (see the appendix for the list, in no particular order), fully demonstrating the college’s solid work and educational achievements in the cultivation and management of international students in China.

Dedicated to the front-line work of international student education, management, and services, Yang Yilan and Liao Qingcai have consistently adhered to the principles of "student-centered, standardized management, and compassionate service." They have worked diligently and innovatively in areas such as daily management, cultural integration, and teaching administration. They actively organized international students to participate in cultural activities on and off campus, helping them better integrate into Chinese culture and local life. At the same time, they strictly complied with immigration management requirements to ensure dynamic student oversight, maintaining compliance and order in all tasks. Their efforts have earned high praise from students, faculty, and relevant departments.
Leshan Vocational and Technical College places great emphasis on international education. In recent years, the college has continuously expanded international cooperation and exchange channels, optimized international student cultivation systems, and enhanced management and service capabilities. The recognition of these two faculty members as provincial-level advanced individuals not only affirms their personal dedication but also acknowledges the overall standard of the college’s international student education and management. The college will take this opportunity to further summarize experiences, strengthen team development, and continue to promote the high-quality development of international student education, contributing greater efforts to serve the national Belt and Road Initiative and the college’s "Double High" construction goals.
