Liu Haifeng, Director of Sichuan Provincial Center for International Education Exchange, pointed out that this meeting is an important platform for building consensus and pooling wisdom. He systematically summarized the positive progress made in the province's education foreign affairs work since this year in deepening Belt and Road cooperation, introducing high-quality resources, improving the quality of international Chinese language education, and promoting people-to-people exchanges among young people. He emphasized that in the next step, we should align with the central government's decisions and arrangements, coordinate both domestic and international priorities, continue to advance the "integrated, concrete, and substantive" development of foreign affairs work, focus on strengthening international Chinese language education, Sino-foreign cooperative education, government-sponsored study abroad and people-to-people exchanges, solidly promote the construction of the "Five Batch Projects", and comprehensively enhance the level and influence of Sichuan's education opening-up.
During the thematic experience-sharing session, Zhang Jingjing delivered a report titled Striving for Excellence on the Path of Internationalized School-running: Exploration and Practice of the "Leshan Vocational College Model". She systematically presented the complete closed-loop internationalization work experience of the "Leshan Vocational College Model" from top-level design to implementation to the participants, covering four aspects: strategic guidance, model construction, system guarantee, and brand building.
During the meeting, the Tianfu University Foreign Affairs Alliance commended advanced individuals and units in foreign affairs work for the year 2025. Wang Xiangqi and Su Wenjing, staff members of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Leshan Vocational and Technical College, were awarded the title of "Advanced Individual" for their outstanding performance in international student management services and the promotion of international projects. In addition, the college was conferred the "2025 Outstanding Contribution Award" for its remarkable contributions to promoting the internationalization of vocational education and serving the Belt and Road Initiative.
